Love's Many Cloths

Love's Many Cloths was formed by two crafty and caring homemakers after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.  One lived in Minnesota and the other in Georgia.  We met in another group of caring crafters giving heartfelt stitches to others in need.

While we both understood the devastation that the hurricanes had on many individuals and families, we both agreed that there were so many other reasons why a person needed Love and Hope.  A cancer institute, a homeless shelter, and a church mission in the north, east, west, and the south.

Crafters joined.  Our facecloths were made. Many smiles were seen by outreached hands in many places.

As the years progressed, new members joined with new ideas and patterns to share.  We started making for babies, pet shelters, the troops home and abroad, the elderly, the winter wear needs of schools and communities, and for one another in times of uplifting needs.  Our facecloths are still a big need amongst all of the other gifts.

We continue to meet in the Yahoo group setting.  Our messages to one another, our shared photos, and the exchange of patterns and ideas.  A Bingo game monthly and a call for needs in hometown communities to a search for needs in neighboring states.  We call to all crafters.. young and old.  From the United States to South Africa; from the United Kingdom to Canada.  Our members come from near or far.  Some are computer literate; some not...but they are still here on this journey to give...

"Every stitch begins a gift!"      "We care enough to share!"
